Dear Parents and Friends, As you are probably aware, the Ledgemont Local School District was declared to be in a state of fiscal emergency on November 9, 2010. This followed the passage of our 1.25% earned income tax in May 2010. Unfortunately, the tax took six attempts over a two-year period before it passed and during that time, the previously approved income tax expired. The lapse in tax collection resulted in the school district losing $2 million of revenue over two years and falling into debt.
